Finnish maritime companies’ visit to NEVA highlighted by new opportunities
New opportunities unfolded for Finnish maritime companies at NEVA fair. The leading maritime event in Russia took place September 19–22, 2017 in St. Petersburg.
Finnish companies have been riding on a wave of strong global demand for cruise ships, Arctic shipbuilding and offshore solutions. A group of Finnish companies joined Finpro at NEVA fair, where they displayed their latest solutions and technologies for the aforementioned sectors.
Some of the event highlights included:
- Tevo Lokomo announced a new deal with a Chinese partner for the delivery of a submersible. Read more about the deal (in Finnish).
- Test Lab made a partnership agreement with Russia-based company MNS (Maritime Navigation Systems). The agreement will be essential for sales, marketing and installations with extensive scopes of delivery.
- Shipbuilding tool provider Craftmer received numerous orders from new customers. Additionally, Craftmer commenced trial delivery negotiations for Russian Rosneft's Zvezhda shipyard.
- I.S. Makinen made new high quality contacts and found new Russian and international partners at the event. The Finnish company is a newcomer in the Russian market for ship furniture and cabins.
