10 Finnish fashion and lifestyle brands created buzz at pop-up showroom in Hong Kong

From Sep 9-13, ten Finnish lifestyle brands travelled to Hong Kong to present their collections at a pop-up showroom at Hong Kong's creative hub PMQ. Companies met with buyers and retailers, and gained a lot of attention among the press and bloggers.

The event was hosted by Finpro's growth program Finnish Lifestyle Asia in co-operation with the local partner Match Showroom. The event showcased what member companies Aarikka, Frenn, Ivana Helsinki, Kauniste, Lovi, Lumi, Marita Huurinainen, Nomen Nescio, Papu and Terhi Pölkki had to offer.

Jari Sinkari, Consul general at the Consulate General of Finland in Hong Kong, inaugurated the showroom during an opening event for selected media on September 9. During the stay, the Finnish brands gained know-how from local experts and went on a retail tour visiting local fashion and lifestyle stores. They also had media interviews and individual appointments with buyers.

The pop-up showroom is part of a China tour for the ten Finnish brands, that will continue in Shanghai in October, and Taipei in November. The aim is to generate new sales and create more awareness around the Lifestyle Finland brand.  The pop-up showroom in Hong Kong will stay at PMQ until October 8.
